Before getting clarity on hard skills vs soft skills one should understand about the skills.

So, What are skills?

Skill is the ability to perform a task with determined result or outcome with proper execution generally performed within time and/ or energy or both. Generally to have a proper skills one should requires proper training and knowledge.

There are different kinds of skills which falls under the categories called domain specific and domain general. But here we are going to tell about the Hard skills vs soft skills.

What do you mean by Hard Skills?

Hard skills are the domain specific or job specific skills. These are required for you to perform the task alloted to you. One can get these skills through different courses and trainings or through OJT i.e. On The Job trainings.

Examples of Hard Skills

There are many Hard skills. Below mentioned are the examples of of these skills.

E.g. Academic knowledge, Technical skills, computer skills, marketing skills, coding, certification, etc.

Where to include these things in Resume ?

What are Soft Skills?

These skills are not job/domain specific skills. These skills are developed through experience. These skills will not help you in clearing your interview but these skills will help you to sustain in the job.

These are nothing but how one person can interact with the other people at work place.

Examples of Soft Skills

There are different soft skills. Below mentioned are the examples of the Soft Skills.

E.g. Team work, communication skill, interpersonal skills, leadership, project management skills, etc.

Where to include these hard skills and soft skills in Resume ?

Actually it is very difficult to put your soft skills on the resume. These skills needs to be demonstrated at workplace or even during interview.

So the conclusion is that if you want to sustain your self in the professional world then you must have knowledge of hard skills vs soft skills as well. So start working on yourself and make yourself trained in both Hard and soft skills.
